Super Bowl advertising can live stream on smartphones Apps, spur constant and instant social media engagement and has its own Youtube channel. Voting for your favorite Super Bowl ad is rampant across the entertainment industry with key examples like Hulu.com/adzone. Are Ads the best part? Olympic sponsorships and another great commercial celebrating Moms from P&G

Only two days to the Olympics and counting. We can’t wait for the opening ceremony on Friday night.  To celebrate the Games, P&G just introduced another ad campaign celebrating Moms on Facebook. This campaign continues the same appreciation of moms as the Mother’s Day spot. Moms do have the most important job in the world and can never be thanked enough. Meanwhile, the Olympics will be a gold mine for brands like P&G. Per Adweek, the Olympics with generate $6-7Billion in sponsorships and advertising revenue. Last year, we took clients the Big East at Madison Square garden which was quite the spectacle.  The crowd seemed to be comprised over 40,000 men and only ten or so women. Meanwhile, watching grown men cry when Syracuse lost presented a very interesting window into the male sports psyche. Men are truly connected to their sports teams in unique ways. Yesterday we turned in our Final Four brackets on Yahoo. March Madness is the next advertising bonanza. Per Smart Money, the NCAA men’s basketball tournament is big business — second only to the Super Bowl in terms of ad sales. A :30 second commercial during one of the last two rounds of the tournament costs around $1.2 million, far more than a $440,0000 spot during the World Series, and more than three times the cost of an ad during the NBA championship, according to Kantar Media, a research firm. Favorite ads from the Oscars

  With over 39.3 million viewers the Oscars delivered well for Brand marketers. While the social media buzz focused on wardrobe issues of the celebrities (Angelina) vs the ads, the Academy awards gave a big bang for the buck. Diet Coke used a wonderful tag line…”Not all the stars are on the screen. Stay extraordinary”. This ad significantly outperformed the Super Bowl Bears on the snowfa. We were very impressed that Oikos did another mass market ad.
