This video of our interview with The Miz really captures the essence of our weekend at SummerSlam. The good works of the WWE were everywhere: the be A STAR campaign (rallies, bracelets, signage), the Make a Wish Foundation Hospital visits and the promotion of our heroes “The National Guard”.  The be A STAR campaign really resonated with our son when he heard all the different WWE superstars talk about their experiences.  As the Miz says “we must all work on being positive about others”. This message of good citizenship is one of the main reasons why moms love the WWE.

We had a fantastic time at SummerSlam Axxess.  The event featured something for everyone and tons of families attended. The children could watch matches and mock sumo wrestling sponsored by the National Guard in the main ring, they could gather the autographs and photos of their favorite super stars, and they could even get their photo on the cover of the next WWE magazine. Axxess created a wonderful family day that will remain an incredible memory for a lifetime.

Attending SummerSlam Axxess and the main event were like Christmas morning for our Tween.  His joy became unbounded when Rey Mysterio signed his mask.  The twinkle of his eyes from his happiness will live with us forever. Parents are truly blessed  to experience the wonders of youth through their children. Since we arrived home, our son can’t stop talking about the great matches and the wonderful WWE Superstars he saw in person. Luckily, our other children enjoyed the Pay Per View screening and can review the event blow-by-blow as well.

While we are still reflecting on the magnitude of all we saw, our children are tuning into Monday Night RAW. They also can’t wait for the new children’s show WWE Saturday Morning Slam this Saturday, August 25th at 10am on the CW. Watch for our tweets and let us know what you think! Also, it is never too early to buy your tickets to Wrestlemania in NYC!
