One of our favorite travel tools is the Dwellable App for easy-peasy affordable family travel. Free on both iPhone and android, Dwellable just made their App even better!

What makes the travel App revolutionary is the ability to see the dates the rental is available and send emails to the owner without even leaving the App so you can plan multiple trips or options. You can book a family vacation with only a few simple clicks. What a time saver! With our busy lives, the less time it takes to book a vacation the more time we have for fun!  The App suits our needs even more now with its cross-country coverage and listing of over 80,000 properties.  This availability is critical with our family traditions of hitting every major ski resort (25 so far) and every baseball park in North America (so far 17).

With a family of five, finding a hotel room that fits us all is tough and often quite expensive. So renting a house or condo with a kitchen often works best for a simple vacation where we can alternate adventuresome meals out with home cooked dinners and family movie night. The children even like looking through the beautiful high-resolution Dwellable pictures to help us choose a house. We loved perusing the pictures of Vermont Farm houses when booking a recent ski trip. Too bad, the cute dog in the photo didn’t come with the weekly rental since it would have been great practice caring for a pet.  Meanwhile, having our children take part in vacation planning often results in better behavior on the trips because they get a kick out of the responsibility of helping to create the family fun.
