A true joy in life is traveling with your whole family. Now, that we have our eldest son living in New York City and our middle son attending college with only our daughter at home, we have an appreciation for family time. Nothing is better than a ski vacation to celebrate being together. This February, we went to Park City, Utah. We had such a good time that we want to share our experience with you:
Lodging: We found a nice five-bedroom home via Homeexchange but AirBnb is a good option as well.
Ski Resorts: the family’s favorite is Alta/Snowbird but they enjoyed Snow Basin and Deer Valley. Purchasing an Ikon pass for the season provides actual cost savings and convenience.
Restaurants:
Cortona Italian Cafe: while it is located in a shopping center, the food is amazing.
Don Goyo: open for two months on Main street, this restaurant has delicious high-Mexican Cuisine, top-notch margaritas, and outstanding service.
Glitretind; located in the picturesque Stein Eriksen Lodge at Deer Valley this incredible establishment does not disappoint if you want a fine dining experience for the family. While you are at the Stein Eriksen Lodge, be sure to take a sleigh ride with Broken Arrow Sleigh Rides because they treat your family like royalty.
We highly recommend Park City for a fun family ski vacation! What do you think of Park City? We would love to know.
