Recently, we held a fun girls night out to celebrate the end of school here in Texas. Children’s Claritin provided us with some wonderful ideas on how to give moms a relaxing night out. They even suggested some excellent healthy recipes such as a refreshing citrus mint spa water and yummy quinoa spring salad. We could live on quinoa and are encouraging our children to do the same (may be a long battle ha ha). The girl friends just loved the light nibbles and had a wonderful time catching up on summer plans.
As a special treat, our dear friend Michele Howe Clarke, accomplished author and triumphant survivor of traumatic head and neck cancer spoke about finding time in our lives to remember those “Aha moments”. We all need to take time to rejuvenate, enjoy life and focus on our breath. Those precious moments will be memories that can help us when times get tough. Michele’s story so inspired the crowd that there was a stampede for her wonderful book Face Forward about surviving and thriving despite life threatening cancer.
Mothering children who have allergies or asthma can be a tough job. Sometimes, the care and worries become 24/7. These worries can be outmatched by the strength of our “aha moments”. Thus, it is critical that we support each other and make sure that our friends take time to keep their health thriving too. We so appreciate that Children’s Claritin helped us create a refreshing way to help Moms “Spring into their Step”.
