Worldwide Make-A-Wish Day on April 29th became a very special occasion in our house when the WWE highlighted the celebration with a special Monday Night Raw episode. John Cena granted the wishes of three little boys to become WWE Superstars for the night. Our boys sat on the end of their seats completely impressed by how happy a small wish can make a sick child.

World Wish Day celebrates the anniversary of the first wish granted. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting program. The Foundation’s mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.

Would you believe that WWE Superstars grant over 120 wishes every year?  John Cena even did the voice-over for the World Wish Day Campaign. Most important of all, the WWE’s social good work allows us to teach our children valuable life lessons about how important it is to help others. So let’s all get behind this wonderful cause by donating/volunteering.

Our daughter also received some fun news from WWE. She just loves former WWE Diva Kelly Kelly and voted for in the Kids Choice Awards last year as the favorite buttkicker. Unfortunately, Taylor Lautner won.  But, on to the big news: this summer, WWE teams up with the E! network to present a new one hour reality show Total Divas.

WWE’s Bella Twins

The Show will feature an all access pass to the lives of WWE’s Leading Ladies such as the Bella Twins and Natalya. We will find out how tough they really are and how tough their job is.

What do you think of the new show idea? Our hope is that it has a message of empowerment for our girls.  Meanwhile speaking of women’s issues and empowerment WWEmoms are working on a twitter chat soon on the WWE and Susan G. Komen Mother’s Day Campaign “Make Mom Proud”. More details soon.
