The MoonWalk New York City 2013

Join us Saturday, July 20th at 10pm to help raise Breast Cancer funding by participating in the first ever Moon Walk NYC.  Not only, will the event be great exercise, but we get to dress up! Since its inception fifteen years ago in London, MoonWalk has engaged over 300,000 participants and has raised over $126 million to support vital breast cancer causes in the UK. Presented by Empire BlueCross BlueShield, the overnight “power walk” through New York City will begin with a participant opening ceremony celebration at Randall’s Island. Walkers can choose between half moon (13.1 miles), and full moon (26.2 miles) courses both departing from Randall’s Island and weaving through Manhattan past the city’s most iconic landmarks, lit up brightly at night.

 The Moon Walk: London

Most of the fundraising from the MoonWalk NYC will be granted to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to help support the Breast Examination Center in Harlem, one of the first free screening facilities for breast cancer in the country where 80% of patients are uninsured but guaranteed support and guidance. We are excited to help support medical care for women in need. Event organizers hope to raise over $2 million.

While getting fired-up for the big stroll, you can eat, drink and be merry, take time to get a massage or have your photo taken with friends. When it’s time to start walking,  it will be announced and everyone will be invited to the Start Line….. meanwhile stay in the tent and start warming up with a great lineup of live entertainment.

So we hope you will join our team and grab some friends to support this great cause here: Moon Walk NYC.

We can’t wait to see the hubbies in BRAS!
