The MasterCard #Priceless All-Star Viewing Party at Yankee Stadium created memories for our children that will surely last a lifetime. Arriving at the stadium we were amazed, as always, by its magnificent size. All visitors to New York City must put it on their bucket lists! The staff of this event gave us five-star treatment, graciously escorting us to the beautiful Delta VIP lounge on one of the top floors.
Our unforgettable experience began with the delicious dinner buffet that featured really fancy ballpark food. The boys especially enjoyed the specialty toppings for the hamburgers and hot dogs. The enormous dessert island included yummy soft brownies, chewy cookies and juicy watermelon. During our scrumptious dinner we were able to watch the All-Star game on one of many TVs inside the lounge, but more exciting for us was to watch it on a huge stadium screen outside. It’s an incredible feeling to watch a game like that screened especially for you at night in a dark, empty stadium. The Stadium’s greatness was both overwhelming and magical, and we all truly appreciated the moment.

As part of the festivities, we were taken on a private tour of the stadium. Our guide kept the tour very interesting and funny.
Perhaps the most memorable part of the evening was meeting John Milton “Mickey” Rivers, also known as Mick the Quick, who was one of the Yankee superstars in the late ’70s. The boys were so happy to have a small chat with Mickey, who is also known for his colorful personality, about the highlights of his career. He was kind enough to autograph our Yankee caps, and he also signed commemorative photos with personal dedications for us. Next time we have to remember our baseballs to truly honor the extraordinary experience.

When we arrived home, the boys fell into bed just exhausted. We couldn’t have had a better day!
