October has become very special not only because we have tons of family birthdays and anniversaries but also because it the month that our communities all work very hard to raise money for breast cancer research. Our ten-year old son was surfing his favorite WWE site and called out to our family how the WWE raised over $1mm for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. One of his best friends’ mother recently recovered from breast cancer so this is a cause very near and dear to his heart. Our family was truly touched by yet another WWE program focused on helping families while teaching our children about the importance of helping others.

No one’s life is untouched by breast cancer. Listening to the beautiful video by WWE Diva Layla (click here) breaks your heart. As a teen, I remember hearing that being diagnosed with breast cancer was a sure death sentence. Now, we have come a long way baby — with cancer research.  Most of our friends have been lucky and are now “cancer-free” but they all faced very tough battles.

Our son’s favorite WWE star John Cena is the main spokesman for the campaign.  Special edition Cenation merchandise is available donating 30% of every sale to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Our family can’t wait to proudly wear their t-shirts. Thanks to WWE for making a difference!
